After their long honeymoon in the USA we caught up with Zoe and Richard a few weeks ago to hear all about their amazing trip and to present them with their photos! They even had a second wedding and photo shoot in Aspen as their passion is the snow and yes, we have seen the pictures of Zoe on a snowboard in the dress!
Their wedding ceremony and reception took place at the National Golf Course at Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula. Dark clouds meant that it was safer to hold the ceremony inside and this is something you should always consider even if your wedding is in March as it turned out to be the wettest weekend in quite a while.
Zoe and the girls stayed at the lighthouse cottages to get ready at which was great for taking some pre-ceremony shots! We knew as soon as we saw Zoe’s dress it would be stunning on the beach so we were pleased the rain held off after the ceremony so we could go to a local beach and the dark clouds added atmosphere to the photos. After the beach shoot we returned to the golf course and the four of us went out on buggies to the old Moonah tree where we were able to take some shots with the last of the light.
The reception room was beautifully decorated by Event Perfection with the flowers for the bridal party and tables provided by Poppies of Red Hill. The snow themed cake complete with cake toppers of Zoe, Richard plus their gorgeous dog was made by Peninsula Cake Art. Richard and the guys got ready at the RACV Club next door. All these suppliers are proud members of the Mornington Peninsula Weddings Group.
A fun day was followed by a great party in the evening with plenty of dancing. As the guests departed Zoe and Richard were the last to leave and waved everyone goodbye on the bus! We managed to grab a couple of shots to wrap up the day before we headed home after two weddings that weekend and a lot of rain!
